Orange Cameroon has unveiled its special package for subscribers in the restive North West and South West regions of Cameroon. The Orangecaresaboutyou Platform was presented to some key stakeholders in Limbe, Friday, September 18, 2020, to tell how Orange Cameroon cares and remains close to its subscribers.
Speaking during the event, the Orange Cameroon Regional Delegate for South West and Littoral, Alice Nkain Fon, said “the revolutionary offers for the two regions is going to be a very interesting phase of our presence in these parts of the country.” Nkain Fon assured that “We will continue to attain to the needs of our population…Orange is here to stay and accompany the people.”
Following the presentation done by Christelle Youmbi of Orange Cameroon, the package, captioned: Save ya moni has been designed to help subscribers save their money, as after getting the new Orange sim card, subscribers for the next five days are entitled to Free data and calls (1000 Mb of data, 500 minutes calls to Orange, 500 SMS and 25F per minute calls to other networks) by dialing #124*0# FCFA 100
Equally, subscribers who open Orange Money accounts are entitled to enjoy all free bundle advantages, as for a FCFA 1000 deposit, they are given 1000 Mb of data, 500 minutes calls to Orange numbers, 500 SMS and 25F per minute call to other networks, by dialing #150*20# after the deposit.
According to the Brand Event and Sponsorship Manager of Orange Cameroon, Edwin Eselem, the package only goes to tell the Orange story of love and action, as the company decided to get closer to its subscribers, amid the hard times brought about by the socio-political tensions in the two troubled regions and the Covid-19 pandemic. Eselem equally recalled that Orange Cameroon handed FCFA 180 million to the ministry of health to help fight Covid-19, engaged the free payment of utility bills by subscribers, continuous transmission of awareness messages about the pandemic as well as directly reaching out to the population, notably the partnership agreement recently signed between Orange Cameroon and the Limbe City Council, with the former donating Personal Protective Equipment for the Limbe population.
Other speakers during the event included the representative of Limbe’s City Mayor, 1st deputy, Karen Moto Tanga, the Paramount Chief-designate of Limbe –HRH John Elufa Manga Williams, The Chief of Batoke Village –HRM Molive M. Otto as well as the Fako Divisional Delegate of Communication –Olive Ejang Tebug, who all took time to pledge their support to all Orange Cameroon endeavours in the city of Limbe.
