Over 40 youths in Buea were recently drilled during a capacity building workshop, on how to start their own venture, public speaking, how to excel in online marketing etc. The one-day workshop was tagged National Youths Emergency Plan for Entrepreneurs and Youth Leaders Summit.
Speaking to the Coordinator of the programme, Henry Tambe, he said they thought it wise to come up with the summit because they need a body that can propose recommendations that can work for the youths.
“We all understand the power of unity in Cameroon, so today we are here as youths that will help the general youths in Cameroon”, Henry Tambe said.
He added that the event was just the launching and they are impressed with the turnout in which they plan to continue in other towns.
Tambe is optimistic that after Buea, they will move to Douala, Yaounde and Bamenda and at the end, what the youths have proposed will be submitted to the Minister of youth Affairs and Civic Education, for onward transmission to the right quarter.
Henry Tambe however urged the youths never to lose hope despite the state of the country now, which is difficult and not favourable for a young man, but they should generate more ideas to develop the country.
